Even though Ashley hasn't talked much about her parents she has acknowledged her grandfather for the genesis of her desire to work hard as his bodybuilder career was very popular during his 20s and 30s. Ashley was physically active from an early age. She started swimming lessons at four years old, and continued for a further 10 years. It is thought that Ashley was a participant in various contests. However, she did not put in the time because she was not willing to stick strictly to the strict rules of diet so her body would function at optimally. After the competition was over, Ashley made the decision that she did not want to participate. When she was competing she got requests for photo shoots, but she did not want to combine careers. Once she quit but she took the decision to become a model. A popular fitness mag included her on the cover, which immediately launched an industry for fitness models. Since then, she has become a sought-after model and has appeared for many bikini brand names and globally renowned clothing companies.
