Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021, as the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent for Space and Defense she covers all aspects of space including NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses and space tourism. Being the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts, Kristin grew up in the industry of space. She worked for the past five years covering the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. During that time, she also covered two impeachment trials for the president and the presdiential 2020 campaign, and two attempts by the administration to stop the coronavirus pandemic. The extensive trips she took with the President and Vice-President included a trip exclusive to Afghanistan, which she took along with Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up in local TV news stations which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin used her experience in front of the camera to launch Field Mouse Films. The firm specialized in making documentary films. It was also a favourite of corporate clients such as Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is an Bachelor of Science in Journalism, which she obtained from Boston University. She lives with her husband in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
